Alborz is a private school, fully approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education. We teach students from grade 3 to High School Diploma, with small classes, well-qualified and experienced teachers and each student receives personalized support in a structured learning environment.
Alborz is a multi-cultural school and we are very proud of our diverse student body, which is composed of both international and local Canadian students. This diversity helps all our students learn to respect one another and appreciate and value our differences and similarities. Alborz’s teachers are a dedicated group of professionals, committed to comprehensive education and academic excellence through high expectations of academic achievement and caring individual support.
We enable students to learn, to grow, and to become responsible and productive adults. Our goal is to educate them to achieve their highest academic capability.
Alborz Elementary and Middle school provides programming for students from grade 3 to Grade 8. At Alborz, we follow the Ministry of Education curriculum and provide enriched programs that prepares students for their high school education. Through the integration of academics and art, we are able to meet each child at their place of learning.
Alborz students in Grades 7 and 8 are taught 8 different subjects by a team of specialty teachers. Included in those 8 subjects are the six core subjects of English, mathematics, French, science, history and geography. Complementing these to create a balanced curriculum are physical education, art, computers and health.
The Secondary School program is designed so that the students can meet the diploma requirements in four years following Grade 8. Courses are offered in such a way to ensure that education is relevant both to students’ needs and interests and to the requirements of post secondary institutions. In Grades 9 and 10, courses strongly promote the acquisition of essential knowledge and skills by all students, but at the same time allow students to begin to focus on their areas of strength and interest and to explore various areas of study. Alborz offers all secondary school courses with emphasis on advanced Mathematics and Science, Computer Science and English Language Courses. In Grades 11 and 12, the program is designed to allow students to choose courses that are clearly and directly linked to their intended post secondary destinations: University or college.
Our goal is to ensure that every Alborz student will be qualified for university. Preparation for university is a high priority, ensuring that the majority of our students are qualified for the university of their choice.
At Alborz, we strive to develop:
• a friendly atmosphere;
• academic excellence;
